“These health centers are supposed to make care affordable. One has sued patients for as little as $59 in unpaid bills.”

Then the patient has to pay the lawyers fees & court costs for fed-funded centers! Sooo wrong.

UPDATE: Another Chicago-area church has put up an immigration-themed Nativity scene.

A church member at Urban Village Church sent this one along, where Mary, Joseph and Jesus are gone and replaced with a sign that reads: “Due to ICE activity in our community, the Holy Family is in hiding.”

Congress has mandated that Medicaid recipients work 80 hours a month unless they can prove they are “medically frail,” or risk losing their Medicaid.
Attempting to meet an 80‑hour work requirement for most people with ME/CFS and Long COVID will only worsen their illness.
