OpenAI wants (even more of) your data. Your real time discussion data. With Meta and X already having coupled social media platforms with LLMs, OpenAI would not want to risk lagging behind by not grabbing more of your data.

This essay talks about a coming stand off between AI models that are generalists (do lots of human-level stuff decently well, like “AGI”), and AI models that are specialists like protein solvers. Guess which side he’s rooting for (and so am I)!

This is an all out assault on humanity. This basically says the more likely risks outweigh the less likely benefits. That somehow maths if you are paid enough.
This statement:
“Developing and deploying models and applications where the LIKELY overall benefits substantially outweigh the FORESEEABLE risks.”

This is carefully crafted. “Likely” implies a lower probability than “foreseeable” but they are just fine with that In fact they engineered it this way.
