basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.

After having a short stint managing collections for a library and working closely with Baker & Taylor, I was shocked to learn they are closing their doors. www.marketplace.org/story/2025/1...

After nearly 200 years, Baker & Taylor, a major distributor of shelf-ready library books, will be closing in early January.

Got a chance to see this last night. It was very good!
Powered by Alicia Keys’ timeless songs and a charismatic, immensely talented young lead, “Hell’s Kitchen” is as soulful and authentic as the artist who brought it to the stage — and just as entertaining. Full review: https://l.cleveland.com/661kgs

Good morning.

The government is shut down because Trump wants to act like a king and steal from you.

Democrats have no obligation to support a budget that funds the destruction of our democracy - and DOUBLES health premiums to fund a tax cut for billionaires.

Going on hour 26, but we're still fighting.

A big win for Massachusetts: Republicans tried to kill off new clean energy projects, but we just forced them to take out that terrible provision.

There’s a lotta awful still in there. But pressure does matter. Keep it up.

I was honored to speak at the Cleveland City Club today. I made clear that, as Governor, I would veto any number of provisions from the current state budget. But the truth is, the entire budget is an example of why Ohio is sliding backwards.

This is my district. Lucky to have Sykes speak up for our community.
Nearly 30,000 people in #OH13 are employed by hospital systems. Hospitals will be devastated by Medicaid cuts, because many of their patients will not be able to pay for care. This will hurt their bottom line, potentially forcing layoffs in our community.

Reminder: in broken and gerrymandered states, politics ceases being about public service…and it warps into a corrupt form of private service, where politicians use public power and raid public assets to serve private interests.

This Browns fiasco offers the perfect case study:

NYT found the “big beautiful bill” would be the largest transfer from the poor to the rich in a single law since at least 1990.

In fact, it would be the largest transfer *ever.*

Reagan’s low-income cuts were MUCH smaller - and his tax cuts were done separately. And before him, nothing comes close.

“Just three people” took on Ohio education law — and sparked a movement
