It was around this point in our walk/run that the mist was getting heavy and the leaves began to dance, like a secret was about to be shared.

A damp forest walk,.when the leaves covered the ground and swayed and vibrated on the trees, and tones of gold, amber, and green met the fresh-turned smell of soil, and clear procession of water in the canal. It's sunny everywhere else, this is the enchanted part of the forest.

3 of my top 10 favorite Historical Romance novels are from this series! (It Started with a Scandal, What I Did for a Duke, and A Notorious Countess Confesses) And the whole series is GREAT!

I wanted him the way I wanted the white chocolate covered pumpkin-spice pretzels from Traders Joe's. I was obsessed; I couldn't stop. But even while I gorged, I knew: in three days I will never want to see another pumpkin spice pretzel ever again. Well, until next pumpkin spice season.

I'm in love with my husband's boss. She's a tough talking, dryly funny, charmingly grouchy, get shit-done folk hero. I've only met her once but everytime I'm around to hear one of their conference calls I want to interrupt to ask her if we can be best friends.

It's a little strange having nearly every inch of skin checked carefully, but it's quick. So with family history of skin cancer and a lifetime of sun exposure, I'm ok. I still spend a lot of time outside but I wear hats, and sunscreen, and get checked every year now.

Today I had my yearly skin check-up and it was a breeze. I put it off for years for reasons like I thought the dermatologist would try to sell me cosmetic procedures I couldn't afford, or tell me that I should avoid the sun completely. Neither were true.
