Today I am beginning a journey that could take quite some time — taking inspiration from a friend, I am going to listen to my entire vinyl collection, front to back, and update this thread here as I do so ✨💕

If the shooter had killed a leftist podcaster, he would have a multi million dollar Go Fund Me to cover his legal fees tomorrow, and an interview lined up with Charlie Kirk.

This is going to be the last entry until I have my record setup a little underway at my new place, probably next week - I can’t believe I’m only about to start the M’s, no wonder I’m in severe debt 😭😭😭😭😭
#283: I don’t remember when or how I came across this Lumineers album, but I remember falling in love with the title track immediately. I’ve loved their hits before, but this is the only full record I’ve dove into. This pressing is absolutely perfect in every way, to match the album aesthetic.

Also holy shit apparently my gaga records are worth like… A Lot

Just looked on discogs out of curiosity because I did buy these on resale but I think I paid like $80 each and now they’re like $280 each 😳
#250: Artpop by Lady Gaga on blue vinyl. Probably my favourite Gaga album overall, and Applause is probably my #1 song from her. Love this era of pop music, love the artwork of this record as well.

what was actually insane to me is that apparently there’s a remix of the title track featuring diddy and that’s the version they pressed on the vinyl. that’s a choice 😭😭😭
#232: Smile on custard vinyl - I actually loved this record. There were a few weak moments, but even those were still enjoyable. “Cry About It Later,” “What Makes A Woman,” “Daisies,” “Harleys In Hawaii,” and of course “Never Really Over” - career highlights. Very underrated album.

Miley Cyrus’ new visual trailer for “Something Beautiful” released today describes the record as “a one of a kind pop opera.” 🎭 The album is out May 30.

Might I add that the packaging for this and Dismonds are so high quality, so beautifully thought out and designed 🥹
Lockdown Sessions is VASTLY different from a regular Elton John record. It’s a passion project brought on by Covid, and it’s so fun! The Dua Lipa, Lil Nas X, Stevie Nicks, and Rina Sawayama collabs make me happy, and I adore Miley’s Nothing Else Matters cover

FELLOW CANADIANS:
I know there’s a lot we can be “proud” of when comparing ourselves to our southern neighbours.

Please fight and resist the urge to engage in Canadian nationalism.

Our settler colonial capitalist system is just as bad and just as dangerous.

Do not forget our history.

Commission your friends for art. Give them dollars (this makes them happy) in exchange for drawing you like (this makes you happy). This is symbiosis. This is a healthy ecosystem.

Support your friends. Support art. Support your friends' art.

The aesthetic of this album is pretty great though, I will give it that. music is mostly super boring tho
Apparently Conan Gray’s vinyl just suck ass, because when I opened Found Heaven yellow/black variant it’s literally just black with hints of yellow I can only see when I hold it to the light. Album isn’t great anyways, except for Winner

the photo being hidden for being sexually suggestive is sending me 💀 they’re probably gonna do the same with the crash cover HAHAHA
#101: how i’m feeling now by Charli XCX on neon orange vinyl. Charli created this entire album during the first couple months of quarantine in 2020, and it’s a masterpiece. Such a weird time for the entire world, inspiring some wonderful art.

This was one of the first records I ever bought myself 🥹 they never put it on CD and I didn’t even have a record player at the time but I needed a physical copy somehow
Chapel is my roman empire. I miss them every single day of my life. I still adore the Sunday Brunch EP with all my heart seven years later. Not to mention, the egg picture disc vinyl is so iconic. I need this duo back STAT. I would give just about anything

Also love when artists aren’t pussies and don’t change the pronouns in songs they’re covering so they sound more heterosexual
#91: A backtrack to the A’s tonight, as I just purchased this Arkells record today! Disco Loadout Volume 1 is exactly as it sounds, a collection of fabulous disco covers by a traditionally indie pop/rock band. I love the pressing and I love the creativity!

My villain origin story is the fact that the jrams version of sour candy isn’t on spotify. 604 RECORDS DO SOMETHINGGGGG
#85: Tug of War by Carly Rae Jepsen on black vinyl. DON’T call yourself a CRJ stan if you don’t fw her folk pop era!!! The only song on here that I absolutely ride or die for is Sour Candy ft. Josh Ramsay but there’s so many other classy bangers too. Honestly so underrated
February 10, 2025 at 4:23 PM
and I had to throw out both hype stickers because neither would transfer to the sleeve 😭😭😭😭
#83: Familia by Camila Cabello (alt cover, green vinyl), an album I listened to when it came out and never really revisited aside from like 3 songs. I regret it! This was way better of an album than I remember, honestly.

Obviously, you can see I’m missing a couple items in my Britney collection. Hoping to get the last few before too long! All of her pressings are soooo pretty too.
#77: Britney Jean - which, despite its gorgeous vinyl, is widely regarded as Britney’s worst record. It just sounds so ingenuine and so aged, which makes sense since Britney had almost zero input or control over this album sadly. Perfume really is the phenomenal outlier here
