For my purposes, exposing some static HTTP sites through Cloudflare tunnels to a containerised Caddy "FROM scratch" image is OK.

And SSH to a containerised forgejo - that only allows Git, no normal shells - and Web UI only available locally / through tailscale.
As others have mentioned, definitely wireguard (or tailscale if you're behind cgnat, or want the "pretty packaged option") to expose as little as possible.

If you need to expose something on the internet, isolate it as much as conveniently possible on the host system.
"Hvis du vil have juleslik, så hækler du selv lige en kalender, kiddo!" 😉
Well, det kommer nok an på hvem du spørger 😂

...men det er legit en løsning på mine time management issues. I've got 99 issues and time *is* one!
Godmorgen, Andreas 🥱
It's one of the languages that I really like - focusing on lifetimes instead of memory allocations (or "YOLO, GC!") seems like a good choice... Even if the borrow checker wants to fight a lot sometimes 😂

And Cargo is bloody nice, compared to the mess in C++ land...
Altid med skind, for smagens skyld!
Gen '81 here. My first PC had... Was it 8 megabytes of RAM? A lovely 486dx4, 100 MHz. My current workstation has 8192 times that.

Even my phone is a supercomputer compared to that glorious beige box of wonders.
Oh, so you shouldn't run your main file storage on the same hardware for ~13 years, especially with non-ECC memory, bog-standard consumer hardware?

And you ought to run a filesystem with data integrity checks?

Really?!
Perhaps they should have designed it with wheels instead of a hotdog sausage, just sayin'!
Have you been browsing high-end GPUs, Kate? Are they picking up on incoming cooling needs?
It's amazing what that game (and ICO!) managed to do on PS2 hardware... And the art and emotional experiences, oh my.
That's gonna end well 😂
- Oh, but the *pin* is 5V-tolerant, you didn't ask about the microcontroller 😇
Beautiful! And it's lovely that you label the PCB ❤️
There we go - a bit shy of 4 grams of pain. Next time I'll wear PPE... Grinding the Carolina Reaper felt like a mild case of getting pepper sprayed.
At least we're not at the "litres of water" or "cubic centimetres of air" level of late-stage capitalism yet 😬
And so... It begins!
Creating your own scope using salvaged parts? That sounds like a bit of a journey 🤓
Vent, var hun ikke gift med Al Pacino?!

(De kunne fx have nævnt at hun var med i The Godfather i stedet for at have en så WTF ting som fokus.)
Neat - thanks for answering!

I'm getting the regular flu shot through work insurance. Covid is still important enough that I'll pay for it myself.
How expensive is it o'er there, if you don't mind?

Danish healthcare is socialised, but covid is only covered if you're in an at-risk group.

Gonna get mine, not sure how expensive it's going to be, and interested in hearing how bad it is elsewhere 😅
It would be wild if text generation was based on "intelligence", rather than autocomplete on steroids - robots navigating 3D space is less smoke and mirrors.
What did you upgrade from?

I went from a 24" 1080p 60Hz Dell office grade to a 32" 1440p 120Hz (or was it higher Hz?) Gigabyte monitor - that was a pretty extreme quality of life upgrade.

Shame that 32" 2k monitor is EOL, I don't need 4k but could use a replacement for my secondary 24".
