Could it be “Today” by Talk Talk? Which, um, repeats the word “Today”. But fits the vibe you describe perfectly.

I came across this user comment while looking for some Nick Drake demos on YouTube just now. Have a read - it's rather magical. Original link: youtube.com/watch?v=fBdb...
This gave me shivers! Thanks for sharing.
Surely you could make your fortune as a tribute act? Fibreglass McCombs?

Little guitar cover of Missionary Bell from the new Cass McCombs album
I only listened to this shimmering gem of a song because of your excellent cover and now it's an obsession. Thank you for introducing me to my song of the year!
I love that song of theirs, Henry the Hoover Dam
Simon Jenkins should be focusing more on this egregious cultural vandalism
BREAKING NEWS: Planning permission has just been granted for the demolition of The Point in Milton Keynes (BDP, 1985) - Britain's first multiplex cinema. The previous refusal of permission was overturned on appeal, paving the way for a cluster of 21-storey residential towers by Galliard Homes.

Thanks so much for this thread. Invaluable.
Great public service thread here for Oxfordshire folks from @oxfordclarion.bsky.social - results of the local elections as they are announced
The count for Oxfordshire County Council is underway at Abingdon’s leisure centre. All 69 seats are up for election. We’ll be posting the results here as they come in – follow along!
So Here We Are
I have a long, unfinished blog post sat in my drafts folder on exactly this, titled "Bloc Party"
I increasingly think we’ll need to think of tactical bloc voting, certainly on the left. Which left-lib party can stop which right party. If there were some kind of Con-Ref pact or coordination in the future (which Reform need to really harm Labour’s majority), it would be a two-bloc race.

Like a bunch of others, I'm largely reposting this to save it for myself.
Listen to more classical music. For every like, I shall recommend a good recording.

(I'm going to regret this, aren't I?)
