This is vile Islamophobia from the Councilwoman and it has no place in our city.

His deed was "his way of conveying his gratitude for staying in Australia, for being granted citizenship."

He took 5 bullets, and fears he'll lose his left arm.

Four hours after the hero's name was released

BBC News still calling him 'member of the public'

His name is Ahmed el Ahmed
He's a Muslim
How many Jewish lives did his heroism save?

I'm on my way to a Chanukah event. It should be a celebration but instead our community is once again mourning.

I will be thinking of everyone in Australia and those around the world in the Jewish Community who know this fear and loss.

Cycling like the Dutch would slash the world’s carbon footprint
If everybody cycled like the Dutch, we could offset the UK or Australia’s entire carbon footprint.

Nigel Farage is probably delighted today that Reform have the most members of a political party.

It doesn't have to be this way.

I've been to Calais and Dunkirk before for humanitarian work. There are babies and infants living with their parents in the woods, in the most horrendous conditions. The state give them nothing. The police raid and burn their belongings every week. Without charities they would starve. Truly dystopic
I've spent three days in Calais & it's horrendous.

People living in disgusting conditions. Our Government is spending £476m on the militarisation of the border.

We must divert that money to a humanitarian response that treats people with basic dignity.

1- it's winter, so fewer crossings
2- this government is reducing crossings through hostility, making the UK less helpful welcoming to those poor people and employing the French police to destroy boats and belongings. You know what would stop ALL boat crossings instantly? Providing a safe route
