Throwing this out into the void, but shouldn't the conversation already be "We need to remove Trump from office"? Impeachment, 25th Amendment, and future elections are either unlikely remedies, or a ways off, but Trump is the problem, so why pretend otherwise? Play to your outs.

Yeah, context is pretty important. Different precautions make sense depending on where you are and what you're doing.

At a certain point, caution becomes self-defeating. Yes, you can cover your face and ensure there's no evidence you ever did anything - but that's handing them a lot of power.
