This is very scary but important to be aware of. It makes me furious to think that much of this push towards deadly extremism comes from accounts who benefit financially.
Yesterday I posted a paper about the danger of social media algos pushing more and more people into extreme right-wing views. It now only takes a week to change someone’s view by the same amount that used to take 3 years.
