More on Friday’s federal raids in Lake View —
The scenes marked the third consecutive day that federal agents swarmed Chicago in what seemed like a new level of escalation in their immigration enforcement blitz, even for the standard they had set since early September. trib.al/iOUZBP2
Feds make arrests across North and Near West sides, deploy tear gas on residential street in Lake View
“It was terrifying,” said one woman, who witnessed the arrest of a soon-to-be father outside the Erie Family Health Center in West Town.

True.
If the stuff happening in Chicago were happening in New York City it would be on every television on earth right now
With every passing day, Marge Gunderson sounds more like a Midwestern Cassandra
“And for what? For a little bit of money. There’s more to life than a little bit of money, you know. Don’tcha know that?
And here you are, and it’s a beautiful day.”

Breaking news: The East Wing of the White House is gone.

Wrecking crews completely removed the decades-old annex by midday Thursday, just three days after they started, to make way for a pet project of President Trump: a 90,000-square-foot ballroom.

The No Kings March in Chicago is one of the largest gatherings I’ve seen here. Looking down from by the river, the crowd stretches for blocks down Michigan Ave and wraps around Wacker Dr. This video is from a few minutes ago and the end of the protest is nowhere in sight.
