Today I baked three batches of cookies, vacuumed and washed all the floors, did dishes at least 10 times, roasted a chicken, made stuffing, mashed potatoes, roasted parsnips, gravy. Cleaned the upstairs bathroom. Later finished some laundry and cleaned the litter box. Tidied the laundry room.

Kids won’t believe it when you tell them: people used to have different opinions, but still be friends. Our politicians had professionalism and decorum. Dictatorship and authoritarianism was a bad thing. A politician’s career would be over if they staged a coup or were tangled with a sex trafficker.
