Rewind – a Collection from Indie Authors Ireland
For those of us who decide to go it alone in the indie-publishing world, life can be lonely and challenging. From the writing, and all that comes with it – between editing, proofing, and formatting – to the myriad of technical elements involved in preparing the file before uploading your book onto a specific platform, then the battlefield of marketing that puts it out there for the notice of prospective readers, many indie authors experience a sharp learning curve that has the potential to turn the less hardy from repeating the process with a second book.

@ronanhession.bsky.social Are you familiar with the writer? I only recently discovered him, but I'm always late to the party!
Wonderful book, set in Montana in 1910, the prairie, a one roomed schoolhouse, a gifted student and a remarkable teacher. And Halleys Comet...the writer is dead now

When the sun comes back it's time to read A Month in the Country, I adore that book. I think it was recommended by @ronanhession.bsky.social
I can't believe I didn't know about it until 3 years ago

Ps. The director, Andrew Chaplin, won a BAFTA last week.
Delighted to share details of the forthcoming TV adaptation of Leonard and Hungry Paul for BBC and RTE.

Have visited the set – a wonderful cast and crew. Thanks to Subotica, BBC, RTE and everyone involved.

It's a day to give some love to Sligo today, and in fairness it's hard not to have affection for this beautiful county – one of the best places in Ireland to explore incredible archaeological landscapes from the Neolithic, like Carrowkeel, Carrowmore & Knocknarea

I'm totally burned out from 18 months of trying to push my book in relation to daily newspaper articles about poverty/govt mishandling of the pandemic and too exhausted to start again but if anyone wants to give it a plug in light of the Covid enquiry feel free. It's ALL in here.
