His loyal fans seemed to think he could make a good deal with Trump. 🤷

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

In the UK, another word to fart is trump. E.g. "Did you just trump?" It id probably where his second name comes from as many second names derive from occupations. Fletcher if you made arrows, Cooper if you made barrels and Trump if you made people sick.

"stop making everything about gender!!!" but also "we have to address the inequalities young men face due to their gender!!!"

Either recognize the reality that systemic injustices exist, or don't. You don't get to pick and choose based on political expedience.

Quick question for Conservative MP Jamil Jivani, who has been on an anti-DEI tear lately:

Why is it you can understand the need for lawmakers to take positive action to address systemic inequalities -- but *only* when those systemic issues target "young men?"

Good 🧵 on cars here.
By every metric, the industry is in deep trouble — and none of it has anything to do with future emission rules or an engine ban a decade away.

In fact, the future of cars is electric - not because of Brussels regulation, but because EVs will soon be much cheaper to make and run.

Before last year’s election, my wife and I took our grandsons on a tour of the nation’s capital, realizing it might become quite different if Trump won. I kept thinking the symbols of democracy might turn into symbols of tyranny. We toured the White House’s East Wing. It’s being demolished now.

Jivani stands out in Poilievre’s caucus as being willing to talk about potentially contentious subjects: he is an advocate for the rights of Christians & has called for the end of diversity, equality and inclusion programs

He’s not the only one with extreme right views!

Very definitely. It’s worth listening to his entire speech on CPAC as well to get the full picture. We have a tendency to drift back to default ( ignoring reality and danger) in Canada but it’s essential for us to fully comprehend the era we’re in.

Mark Carney gets it. Canada needs to diversify and fast. The debate is not about whether, but how and how fast. #cdnpoli

Introducing legislation to force an agreement with teachers would mean invoking the not withstanding clause to suspend constitutionally protected rights of workers to free assembly. The clause has never been used this way before and would set a dangerous precedent.

As expected, Johnson is all “I don’t know anything about this”…then he says “I heard he is going to give it to Charity”.

Is Charity a Stripper he’s using (thx Colbert) or is it a new Trump Foundation? The old one was dissolved because of illegal use by Trump.

After a police officer hit and killed a 34 year old homeless Indigenous woman not only will he not face any charges but they haven't even given the family an apology
The family of Tammy Bateman says they’re disappointed with a decision by Manitoba’s Independent Investigation Unit and its year-long probe into the circumstances surrounding her death to not lay charges.

Carney: But this decades-long process of an ever-closer economic relationship with the United States is now over. And as a consequence, many of our former strengths as a country—more particularly, our economic strengths based on close ties to America—have now become our vulnerabilities… #cdnpoli

Looking a bit tired and with sniffles, here’s an update on the #ForeverCanadian Unity Bus tour and on our signature count.

It’s looking really good, but we need to push it across the finish line. Keep in mind that some signatures may get rejected.

Thank you volunteers!

Glad ICE is getting called out for plate swapping in Illinois, but this has been happening in California from the jump.
