The floodwaters now seem to have drained, but there is a large amount of mud and silt deposited on the carriageway and pavements of Gallery Road, Burbage Road and Turney Road. We are pressing Thames Water to make sure that there is a proper cleanup.

Labour are building genuinely affordable homes for local people 🏡

Last year more social rent homes were completed in Southwark than in any other London borough 🏗️

Meanwhile no Lib Dem councils in London managed to start building a single new social rent home ❌

Starmer’s response speaks to a real problem: transport costs make a lot of ppl’s lives harder than they need to be and many are forced into costly car dependence.

Only long term fix is to focus on providing ppl with transport choices (eg reliable, affordable and accessible public transport).
Delighted that Southwark Labour Council is investing in parks and green spaces across the borough.
@richardleeming.bsky.social and I will be working with wonderful local volunteers to secure an upgrade of Dulwich Park playground.
Pirus communis (pear)
Malus sylvestris (wild apple)
Rosa canina (dog rose)
Prunus spinosa (blackthorn)
A delight to join wonderful local volunteers and @lb-southwark.bsky.social officers to plant trees for the new wood meadow in Belair Park this morning.

The weather was gloomy but spirits were full of sunshine!

Sadly, much of the damage done by drivers is not traceable though, so then the tax payer has to cough up.
