The Derryadd Bog complex supports nationally important populations of wintering Whooper Swan, a qualifying interest of the Lough Ree SPA. BNM should be allowing these bogs to restore themselves instead of pumping them dry to facilitate a wind farm that’s already been quashed in the High Court
