I don’t want ppl who will be ok with zip tying a toddler in a street after invading an apt complex in Chicago.

Half is good. There’s a mix of midwestern, Texan, Georgian and NYC. Someone for everyone.

I’d add: Duckworth, Hirono, Kelly, Lieu, Pritzker, Beshear. Conor Lamb.

I think Shapiro will not get past the murder during his AG reign.

White ppl as a group haven’t voted for Dem prez since 1964. Sadly, that might not change. Ppl said it was inflation. 🙄 Look where we are now

We do have to address why we lost Latinos. 45% voted for Trump.

exit polls said it was about illegal immigration. They might vote differently now.

Knows no one who had “pre-existing” conditions and had their life saving medicines pulled once employers switched insurance companies.

I think since 2009, ppl have memory holed that there were no exchanges. No credits. No way to fight insurance if your employer bought a cheaper plan.

the frozen elite like Schumer and Jeffries and Pelosi are the ones whose leadership I can’t abide.

But I sure admire the bench and know we need them to support (money and endorsements and campaigning) the best candidates.

How can we not want a sense of community. Developing a community is one of the ways to fight tyranny.

Synder not only wrote about how to recognize tyranny but how to fight against it.

Yeah. The most hopeful one I’ve seen in my lifetime was the Oslo Accords1995..

Right after signing we had Hamas starting suicide bombing attacks.

Then a RW Israeli assassinated Rabin for signing the Accords.

Leah Rabin always held Netanyahu for the lead up to assassination.

Shoot! Forgot about these. mNRA won a Noble prize about 4 years ago. Its incorporation for the Covid vaccines saved millions of lives.

And then regenerative medicine. Then repairing the DNA. I used to work at Caltech, so I should have remembered these.

I’m not sure that’s a metric ppl thought the protests would be. We got a regime because 1.5% of voters got Trump in office.

Thankfully, the protestors are reliable voters.

I think ppl know it takes more than protesting. It sure bugs MAGA which is fun.

He still didn’t know how freed Black ppl would live in America. At 1 point, he wanted to send them to Africa. Much as he wanted the confederates to go to Europe.

Hagiography helps no one. Not for the learners- the person being deified. Ppl change & have nuance. Or go backwards like Madison.

He didn’t start as an abolitionist. He just wanted the slave states to not grow. Pretty pathetic.

There was a gradual shift. He did push for & sign the emancipation act—light at it was.

He pushed for and signed civil rights amendments. ESP #13 when he was still alive. He planned reconstruction.
