The US government is just murdering random Venezuelan civilians.
So dangerous that they must be blown into small pieces rather than arrested … unless they are actually captured in which case they may go home with a warning. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/18/u...
Its the golden age of fraud. And Trump is the biggest fraudster alive.
JUST IN: Trump has commuted the sentence of former Congressman George SANTOS.
Civil rights were something that was possible when America was geopolitically ascendant and the dominant social class felt secure in their position. As America declines relative to other great powers, as whites feel less powerful relative to others, civil rights will erode. Fear and hate will rise.
Besides the racism this is a long standing conspiracy theory, that Black people would never naturally want civil rights but are being manipulated by jewish interests. Goes back hundreds of years. This is the core unspoken claim of the Soros conspiracy theory.
Hakeem Jeffries posted pictures of two Rep. Members posing with “Young Republicans” who were part of a racist text thread (as reported by Politico).

In response, Mike Davis (well-connected in Trump World & on the Hill) called Jeffries a “house slave” for George Soros - proving Jeffries’ point.
Republicans on the supreme court killing the voting rights act will unleash real democratic radicalism that will come to regret. Everything will be on the table
The election was primarily about inflation
My belief is that Kamala would have won last year if they’d let Tim Walz keep calling Vance and Trump “weird.” But the professional Dem consultant class closed off the one attack that actually resonated with voters.
Endlessly attacking Trump as depraved and support for him as a form of moral failure actually made people stop supporting him. Shame and disgust are very powerful weapons.
To be fair the US participated in genocide before the society became deeply cynical and nihilistic. The cynicism is just a result of slower growth and lower standard of living in recent decades
anyone else notice that the west took a turn for the worse once the concept of signaling one’s own social virtue became derogatory, almost as if cynically deriding all displays of charity and good will is indicative of a deeply cynical and nihilistic society capable of collaborating in genocide
her advocacy for Palestinians doesn't bother me nearly as much as she is so desperately doing all this as an actual act of transparent virtue signaling, to fill the absence she has in depth of character
His entire presidency is obama resentment
What if you’re a clown? 🤡
What if...Donald Trump actually deserves the Nobel Peace Prize?

SCOOP: Last year, Ubisoft cancelled an Assassin's Creed game set during Reconstruction. Was to feature a Black Assassin who, among other things, fought the rise of the Klan

Sources: Leadership nixed it over concerns re: U.S. political climate, backlash to Yasuke

a year ago, AI companies were promising "superintelligence" that would make 40% of workers redundant and fundamentally reshape human productivity and the economy.

Bari Weiss introduced herself to CBS News staff today on the network's 9AM call, saying she wants to "win," which requires restoring trust to CBS. She also said she was excited for staff to get to know the Free Press, and ended her remarks by saying: "Let's do the fucking news."
Politics across the west is going batshit in good part because the west is shrinking as a share of global GDP.

I always feel like Republicans are punting on an election if they end up with a black candidate. It just shows how little they care about that position or election cycle, for whatever.
Youngkin won by 1.9%, and I have no idea if this is "terrible candidate" weighing down Earle-Sears or "national trend" weighing down Republicans in a state hit hard by Trump's attempts at firing federal workers or all of the above.
Washington Post/Schar poll - Virginia Governor Race

Spanberger (D) 55%
Earle-Sears (R) 43%

2028 frontrunner. Nobody else fighting back like this
These people are court jesters. Buffoons. They should have to wear the clown hat when they speak.
Stephen Miller: "All that bullshit is done, over, it's finished. The gangbangers you deal with- they think they're ruthless? They have no idea how ruthless we are. They think they're tough? They have no idea how tough we are. They think they're hardcore? We are so much more hardcore than they are"

a heartwarming story of how being an unethical and talentless hack is no barrier to success when you are willing to endlessly flatter the wretched views of rich dipshits
Bari Weiss is set to be named the editor in chief of CBS News, the New York Post reports
Bombs don’t win wars, troops on the ground win wars. This is exemplified by modern warfare, but it was true back in WW2. The USSR inflicted 70-75% of all Nazi deaths in WW2. Its not even close or debatable. The USSR is largely responsible for defeating the Nazis and without them they probably win.
Relative to Europe absolutely yes. The problem is there is a rest of the world outside of the west. The western share of global gdp is declining. Within that western share Europe is falling much faster than the US. The entire west is declining, the US is just falling slower.
I think western EU elites like to think of themselves as allies and not vassals. But the truth was always clear to anyone who chose to look, and Trump’s treatment of Europe, squeezing them with no resistance, has made the relationship clearer than ever
