maybe given the current political situation, finding things about which to say “the president has a point” is not only not a good look but actively bad and fucked up? Maybe maybe resist the impulse to say “well I agree with this chump” and find something else to talk about instead?

...cancel your Spotify account. Strawberry and foobar2000 are great music players on desktop, and I can recommend VLC and foobar2000 on android.

Buy music from your favorite indie musicians.

It's officially #SpotifyWrapped season, so we're flipping the script by unwrapping Spotify. Tell them to drop ICE ads now!

Since Spotify won’t protect immigrant communities, we’re using their own celebration to hold them accountable. Cancel your subscription to get them to pull the plug on ICE

If Spotify’s pushing ICE ads, why do you still have a subscription?

#SpotifyWrapped is the perfect time to drop them.

Christ on a crutch. AIPAC has bought their souls. F this ghoul, and let's put pedo Bill in jail, while we're at it.
Hillary Clinton blames TikTok and “totally made up” videos for young people’s views on Israel and Palestine.

She says social media influenced “not just the usual suspects” but also “young Jewish Americans who don’t know the history and don’t understand.”

My bipartisan IRS MATH Act with Senator Bill Cassidy is now law.

Now, if you mess up your taxes, the IRS has to tell you where you made a mistake and how to fix it.

No more spending a fortune on lawyers or hours to find errors.

That means fewer headaches and more money in your pocket.

This unacknowledged World AIDS day, I'm remembering my two beloved uncles who died of AIDS in the 90s: Steven Schultz (seen in the photo) and Don Reid. They lived on the upper west side of Manhattan, in a stretch of apartments along the West Side Highway and I vividly remember their small apartment.

If you’re using AI to write your stories or create your art, you’re robbing yourself. I don’t have to let you rob me or Kaleidotrope’s readers.

The billionaires who own much of the the infrastructure of our 21st century lives have progressively enshittified that infrastructure while expanding their wealth, and then they scold us for being small-souled peasants who don’t believe in progress anymore.
it is amazing how so much tech gets unremittingly worse year on year at whatever you once used it for and less pleasant to use and more bound up with creepy politics as well as personal and environmental harms and yet also still less productive of actual goods and these are somehow great visionaries

We're on a runaway train to societal collapse.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.
