A new record - on 5 December wind power produced enough electricity for 3/4 of UK homes

At 23.8GW it meant that even during winter peak demand, it was still providing nearly half the country's power needs

Still a way to go though....

Why aren’t these being make here in Blighty?

Oh wait, progressive governments have sold everything off to China so we don’t actually make anything here any more.

Silly me.

Labour & Selfservatives are imploding, Deform UK are charlatans who will be even worse than the other two.
I voted Green last year because their candidate was the most left-wing and least genocidal candidate on my ballot paper, but now I've joined. If you want to stop the rise of Deform, #VoteGreen

Disabled people driving luxury cars on your dime? Just the latest rightwing lie peddled by Labour.

Govts stigmatize people claiming benefits as scroungers, claim fraud is rife.

Silence on corporate welfare, tax abuse by corporations/rich. HMRC failed to collect over £500bn tax since 2010.

Burning gas makes hi cost electricity
and profits to fossil fuel companies

Solar + batteries on your home reduces costs
Renewables + batteries makes cheaper electricity on grid

In both cases, more renewables brings down price
Both cases are better for the consumer

Oil companies are once again asking the high court to intervene in climate deception lawsuits — part of an all-hands-on-deck effort by Big Oil and the Trump administration to shut the cases down.

An example of how corporations flaunt power to discipline govts.

X was fined because it's blue tick system was deceptive. It was not "meaningfully verifying users". X lacked transparency, exposed users to scams, impersonation frauds.

Today marks 25 years of offshore wind power: an initiative that reduced the UK’s spending on imported fuels by up to £30bn.

Without wind power the country would’ve imported & burned over 20 million tonnes of gas over the last 25 years.

Wind works 🌬️ For the climate and the economy.

If this kick off, which it’s looking more and more likely to, and Trump doesn’t get involved. Then the NATO alliance is dead in all but name.
The UK has to be much closer to our European allies than ever before.
