I’ve gotten used to thinking I will never be sustainably happy. Dark intrusive thoughts that feel foreign to what I actually want for myself, which is to live & flourish, have troubled me for months now. I think a lot of people with mental illness accept that sustained happiness is not for us.

Every day since I found out I’ve just been like, what do you mean he’s gone? What do you mean we’re talking about him in past tense?
