The Admiralty records are fantastic. He fought in Korea after WWII + I found a fabulous photo of a large Manchurian Crane on flight deck of HMS Glory in Korea in 1951 as well as discovering that pilots were given 1/2 ounce gold bars to barter with in “escape and evasion” packs if shot down.

I’ve just sent off a report after researching a WWII Naval Lieutenant Commander who was awarded both the D.S.C. and D.S.O. as well as a separate mention in despatches. It’s a honour to research such heroes isnt it? What are you all researching?

Poor Luca such a worry when they are injured. Something similar happened to our son’s dog Bruno whilst playing with another and seem to recall my son saying how badly they bleed. Hope Luca recovers as speedily and easily as Bruno did.
