Andy Burnham,
"We always will stand together"

"And we will never let acts that are designed to cause hatred, division, violence, to succeed"

"That's our message tonight: do not let them succeed"

A stroll down Manchester's Oxford Road before teaching this evening. Crowds of students of every complexion & from all parts of the world. The road almost free of cars - just pedestrians, cyclists and the odd electric bus. New green spaces in abundance. An intensely heartening antidote to Farageism.

But who says the 'new party' is left wing'? I'm not convinced many of those 'independents' are...they're likely to be socially conservative..elected on one issue only and not sharing much of otherwise progressive views..

Net Zero: saving our world and saving money. Now there's a win-win - if only voters knew about it.

Wow, and knocking 1976 out of the top 5. That's really pause for thought
Provisional statistics from the Met Office show that summer 2025 will ‘almost certainly’ be the warmest summer on record for the UK.

It would move 2018 off the top spot and relegate 1976 out of the top five warmest summer in a series which dates back to 1884.

@bbcnewsnight.bsky.social please tell BBC News we’re sick of 4 MP Party Reform being rammed down our throats daily with drivel like this👇🏼report

The @libdems.org.uk have 72 MPs, Greens 4, SNP 9 but they don’t get a look in 🤷🏼‍♂️

Soon BBC News will report what Farage has for breakfast 🙄
Get ready for fracking, Reform UK tells energy firms
The party is serious about going after shale gas - but critics argue it's too difficult and costly.

I do worry about how avidly broadcasters have jumped on this, it is normalising intolerance and racism.
Farage has been given far too much prominence. Where is the editorial judgment in all of this? Reporting or inciting? I find it more than alarming
Hello, yes this is a problem area that we have flagged to the Council many times.
I will press again. We eventually got cameras on some areas.
I dont like communicating complex stuff on SM much, my email is [email protected], can you let me know who you are, please?

People often don’t believe me when I tell them that even the Sun & the Mail greeted an interview I conducted with Nigel Farage, at his request, by condemning the obvious racism he displayed. I remain amazed that other interviewers still struggle to expose him. I won’t get another chance.
This May 2014 editorial in The Sun about Nigel Farage said is not racist" to worry about the scale of immigration but it is "racist" to smear Romanians to say you wouldn't want to live next door to a Romanian & "you know the difference" [between a German and a Romanian neigbour]
