Managed to catch the final shreds of daylight to document my new bathrobe. Three solid weekends of sewing in this baby and it's a major upgrade from my ten year old dingy white hotel robe. #sewsky #garmentsewing

I have two things I would really like people to internalize about the fashion industry/garment manufacturing, and they are:
1. Mass manufactured clothes are only ever intended to fit "good enough," and;
2. Everything you wear was made by actual human people.

I've been trying to form a habit of baking on Sundays. This is the gluten free brioche dough from The Elements of Baking with added cinnamon and raisins, cranberries, and currants. Turned out very nice.

Since we got home I've been alternating 15 minutes of adulting with 15 minutes of sewing and sitting. Kitchen is done, sewing is not.

My kid put a cheese stick in a hotdog bun and poured chocolate chips on top and that would probably offend less people than *gasp* Canadian store brand gluten free chicken nuggs.

I think many Americans are really working hard to not understand that the Trump administration IS the government. It's not an excuse, and it's an active choice to live in ignorance.

I need to purchase some sort of cards to send school pictures and shopping for them is kind of terrible. I need them to be large enough to hold a 4x6 picture and I want non AI graphics and maybe something seasonal but not overtly Jesusy. Shouldn't be hard to find.
