I'm late to playing this but here's a recommendation of a game that isn't a puzzle game: Consume Me! It was really good, really personal, made me cry a few times. 10/10 no notes. I loved it.

My controversial take is that if you didn't get credited on a game you have proof you've worked on, just list it on your CV.
I do with one. Never had any issues.
Not being credited still sucks but you don't need to be polite when they're not.
