I've never understood why I post on social media. I literally expect no one to see this, but also don't post what I would mind anyone seeing. I mostly skeet(is that the bluesky term?) about games I'm playing. I always wish I would write more stories.

Two lessons. No wrong answers. And by the end of the second lesson the lack of energy already didn't let me finish it. I did the entire lesson, but couldn't get credit for it because the energy ran out. Fuck Duolingo, they literally broke their whole system with utter carelessness.
I really hope Silksong gets DLC and that it has its own PoP. Hornet's move set is, I think, an improvement and silky smooth(pun), and I'd love to see it really tested more than it was on Mount Fay, the volcano rush, or the surface cave. Which were also really fun.
"Path of pain is much easier then I remember"

I said literally seconds away from the last (I think. It was last night. At least next to last?) segment where it had a sudden and steep spike in difficulty. Still fun though. Maybe the most fun I've had platforming outside of Celeste.
I'm just tired of every little thing I had for stability crumbling.
It was really downhill ever since they removed the ability to *practice* to earn hearts. That was still clearly education focused. That and user comments/help on problems was integral to learning before it got ripped out so a shitty AI can tell me the wrong reason that I'm wrong.
I have maintained a 1725 day streak. I liked this being something I worked on, and it kept me daily. But this might be time to let it go. For everyone still left to let it go. It is a complete betrayal for their users, turning it from free motivation into a painful gatcha game but even worse.
So just to be clear, in addition to the very poor choice to exalt AI use, Duolingo's new energy system now means, even with watching ads, it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to meet daily goals. Duo is ENTIRELY gamification, AND THEY BROKE THE GAME. Might be the final nail in the coffin.
Johnson's complete lack of details on the shutdown continues to be telling. He'll throw slander and lies, but does anything BUT address the actual minutia of the details and what Democrats have actually asked for. Never brings that up. Buzzwords and misdirection. A fascist tool, that's all he is.
"Do not negotiate" ... With your colleagues, in the job that is almost exclusively about negotiating for the benefit of ALL Americans. This is their great "president of unity". An abject failure of a president and an absolute moron. His fear over an afterlife is not nearly severe enough.
"You make peace with the strong, not the weak" is a HELL of an evil dictator thing to say. Jesus.
It's funny how Trump and Republicans will talk about ANYTHING else about the shutdown, even totally made up unsubstantiated things, but none of them are addressing the tens of thousands who will lose healthcare or the millions who will be financially destroyed, and they offer nothing. Funny.
I won't *die* on this hill per say, but I absolutely defend Tom Bombadilo (his coat is blue and his boots are yellow) in LotR. Among other reasons; he highlights, I think, one of the stark differences between books and visual media because the pacing of the story with him only really works in prose.
I am sure Ncuti Gatwa's whole run is controversial (for many reasons) but I've honestly had a lot to love and his Doctor is simply a wonderful, loving addition. But a lot of Series 15 felt like it was dropping the ball or not committing enough in different ways. But Lucky Day had none of the charm.
I think I am more forgiving than many in finding something to appreciate and even love in much of media. But I finally caught up on (maybe the end of?) Doctor Who "Lucky Day" might be the worst episode I have ever seen, apart from of course "Love and Monsters". It is just so stupid AND unfun!
When did AdBlock make whitelisting more complicated?
Every single day is another example of their hypocrisy. The way they would have screamed to physically tear down the presidency if Obama treated them the same way? They've never, NEVER cared about a damn thing they say they do. They just want to feel big and it HAS to be at someone else's expense.
As I get near the end of my Hollow Knight replay (I last played this before Godseeker and I still can't believe this game is that old already) I really do appreciate how damn good Silksong is. Every crest is unique gameplay and they are all so tightly and well designed. It's purely player choice.
Gee, I don't know Trumpers, it looks like maybe he doesn't QUITE have that "mandate" he used to like to talk about?

Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.

Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”
51,000 American CITIZEN lives are in danger so that Trump can pretend he is a king and give more money to his rich friends. The Republicans are either too cowardly or too treacherous to stand up for Americans, and cretins like Johnson repeat childish lies that are easily disproven. They are evil.
Wisdom is the understanding that some of the least glorified or boring sounding jobs in a society are its most important. So it is no surprise that the dumbest regime in American history has found a way to pay FBI agents in a shutdown before the federal employees that keep the country running.
The GOP is treating the lives of American citizens as a sort of game for them to play with. The Democrats are treating them like people whom they are responsible and answerable to, and their job like an actual duty. Again, fuck the GOP sideways.
I don't think the shutdown can make it any clearer the difference between Republicans and Democrats. Dems are fighting to keep millions of Americans off a medical death row, and Republicans and Trump are seeing how many citizens they can hurt to try and strongarm them with no negotiation. Fuck GOP.
I just want to wake up one day to good, hopeful news.
