there’s a few levels in every game that I loooove and it feels so good to go fast

but I always get a little frustrated when they eventually expect you to start doing precision movement with a character that has momentum like an overstuffed shopping cart >w<

I also love the games’ visual style so much!! It’s so colorful and toony and abstract, and it almost looks like they were trying to go for a 3D-modeled look at times

I’m not sure I really care for the classic sonic games all that much at large, but as I’m playing through them for the first time, it’s really interesting to experience the little differences in each entry

Sonic CD feels soooo different from Sonic 3 and so on

if you’re the type of person who likes dense fantasy novels, I absolutely recommend the Malazan series! it really throws you in the deep end and lets you get totally immersed in its worldbuilding :D

also as an aspiring bookworm I will be eagerly looking at what other replies you get~

Black Mesa

Despite its main reason for existing, I don’t find this a better game than Half-Life, just…different. Liberties are taken with the original’s aesthetic choices, flow, and gunplay, and not all to great effect. Xen is a different game entirely, but has some pretty cool set-pieces.

IT’S GOOD NOW?!?

Action scenes are the best they’ve been, intense and cinematic — and there’s tons of them. The combination of a much stronger narrative thread, better writing, and better pacing make this volume soooo fun to watch. Hype moments™ galore.
