Americans pay some of the highest prices in the world for health care, and Leigh McGowan knows that first hand.

Democrats are fighting to lower health care costs. Instead of helping to fix this crisis, Republicans are shutting down the government.

Leigh McGowan says: I was offered life insurance because I was turning 30. They said, "You can get a really low premium if you do it now. I thought, "Life insurance? I'm 29.”

Literally two years later, I had a terminal disease and now I don't qualify for life insurance. So, anytime you think you're healthy and you don't need health care, get health care.

And if we start messing with the system now, it is all of us who are going to fall through the cracks.

Leigh McGowan says: My entire family is on the ACA, but I have a very rare disease. So, I am not one of those people that even if the premiums go up, I can just go off of it. One of my drugs costs $130,000 a month. One of my drugs.

Senator Warren responds: If Trump and the Republicans succeed and keep ramming these cuts through, there are going to be millions more people who have no coverage.

I posted about this yesterday. I live in a blue "donor" state and I can tell you, I'm not the only one around here that's sick and tired of seeing that tax deduction on my paycheck twice a month and getting little to nothing in return. Blue states should revolt and keep all that money.

Trump says that, with his illegal mass layoffs, he’s closing “Democrat programs.” But programs like Social Security, education for children with disabilities, & clean water enforcement work for all Americans. If you want to repeal them, send a bill to Congress; if not, hands off.

Voter from MA here: We should stop sending our tax dollars to the Feds. They're not using it for appropriated projects for our states so why should we continue to give them our money. I trust the blue state governors to properly distribute these funds among our states.

Worth mentioning, when the DOJ starts firing experienced prosecutors for not bending the knee and carrying out these political vendettas, it hurts America's ability to prosecute REAL criminals.
