The last year kinda had me in an emotional slump, what with moving back in with my parents, waiting for a top surgery that never happened, bereaving my deceased sister... been working a lot on pages and revisions but my heart wasn't as much in it. The heart is coming back to me though. : )

This is gonna be a 200+ page book when it comes down to it, folks. That's all the pages plus the extras I'm including. And this is for The Pearl! Labyrinth could push 300+ when we finally get there and that's literally insane. I am insane. That's okay though, I enjoy my lack of sanity most days.

First though ya boi has to finish his pesky revision work. That's actually still the major thing holding the publishing back. I'll just continue to work on polishing up all those pages for you guys regardless of how long it takes! I made a ton of progress with it in the last year, in fact.

But yeah, it's looking good! I will be offering stickers and prints, and I'm SET on creating the enamel pin as well, even if it dips into a lot of personal income I don't have yet. I gotta do my research on that. Otherwise, I'm happy with how it's coming along.

I actually started working on a Kickstarter page today. WHOA!!!

I set all the dates to 2029 for now lol, I don't know if it'll take *that* long to get the first book published. I'm just giving myself as much wiggle room as possible since I don't want the stress of a deadline yet.

Romy plush is BIG MAYBE because that’s entirely dependent on whether I’m able to get enough funding for something like that, and I’m not sure I’ve got the audience/reach yet. Everything else though, I’m pretty dead set on making it happen.

Y’know my list is actually pretty doable, it’s just… *a lot*. Especially when you consider how long a couple of these items are taking me.

I already know what I want the Book 1 Kickstarter to look like but there’s just so much work still to do before I’ll be ready.

That’s the real issue. You can only have one: a bit of money or a bit of time. I finally have a bit of money for merch making now but like, good luck Macxi on actually finding time for that now. 😩 I should’ve worked on that stuff in preparation for when I might have money again. HAHA

Remember Macxi, you’re actually insane because you’ve made 500+ comic pages in under 6 years. Not many comic artists are THAT insane so give yourself credit where credit is due. You may not be good at much else, but making comic pages? You’re killing it dude.

My line of thinking is that none of that other stuff would even be half as cool without the actual comic existing (and as much of the comic as possible!) but I still feel the pressure a lot of the time when I remember how behind I am with the rest. Boooooosh.

I think my main issue is that I always prioritize new comic pages. Never have time for nothin’ else. One might argue that’s the opposite of an issue though, seeing as the comic is sorta the main thing I wanna keep running. Lol

I’m impatient though. I wish I had the time of twenty more people. D:

Sometimes I gotta give myself the grace of being just one person. Always feelin’ like I’m super behind with all the stuff I wanna make/do. Merch, animation, music, website, published book… and all the new pages too… but also: very limited time. 😔
