Medicare premiums are expected to rise by a near record dollar amount next year and eat a chunk of the Social Security cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) older Americans may receive. IRMAA can more than double the standard monthly premium for health coverage and almost double the drug premium.

There can be real repercussions for shifting funding during a government shutdown. Under the Antideficiency Act, enacted to prevent federal agencies from spending money Congress hasn’t appropriated, officials who buck those restrictions face up to two years in prison and up to $5,000 in fines.

The very idea of a tiny Arab nation like Qatar having an an air force base in the United States seems absurd.

Qatar has spent $100 billion buying influence in the U.S., and it’s paying off. It is nonsense that a deal letting Qatar, Hamas’s #1 financier, open a Qatari facility on U.S. soil.

Joe Biden has begun receiving radiation treatment for the "aggressive" form of prostate cancer he was diagnosed with in May.

Doctors had found a "small nodule" on the 82-year-old’s prostate during a routine exam that his office said had spread to the bone.
