Do you know the stage play ends differently? They wanted something more hopeful & optimistic for the movie but the show is not a happy ending lol

one of the best movie musicals!! Rick Moranis is amazing, Ellen Greene is a national treasure. Steve Martin as the dentist is also such a great cameo

The score by Alan Menken is probably my favorite thing he's done even though I love the songs he wrote for Disney
