Update: The next session, we spent one hour catching up. When we started playing, I said, as prompted by Jason Morningstar, it's ten years later, god is dead, things are worse. And then paused the game and asked everyone if they wanted to play a new game.
We talked about it and everyone was keen.

The players in my Apocalypse World game have decided to try and kill god. For AW, that's wildly off tone. I mean these guys can't even kill each other properly, how are they going to kill the psychic maelstrom???
Anyway I'm keen to figure out what this looks like with them.

Noodled this up the other day, still thinking about it
1. Extrapolating the implied setting of OD&D is an interesting exercise to me. What makes a fighter a fighter? He is in the fighting "social class."
2. Being explicit about game phases is interesting to me. We need to do a better job of this.

I’m realizing I don’t want to play rules light TTRPGs. I also don’t care for games that are crunchy.
I want “rules-bright” ttrpg. Games that have smart rules that reinforce the game’s themes.
