"Take it to the pub." Designers tend to design games at home, at leisure, with conditions just right. Take the game to a crowded place. Read it under poor lighting and at an arm's length. Read the book with music, food, and drink fighting for attention. Judge it under play-like conditions.

Talking more about my upcoming crowdfunder to get a print run of a book of mine off the ground. It's a system neutral alpine micro setting heavy on the gothic horror. However as part of the print run stats for a bunch of games will be provided. #zimo #ttrpg

This raffle is still open and I am sick thinking about how many more people ICE has kidnapped, abused, and killed between the time I first posted this and now. Fuck ICE. Winner drawn 1/27, all money raises will be dispersed to verified gofundme’s directly benefitting those impacted by ICE violence.

Some promo images for campaigns for the S.F. F.O.G. Club up on Instagram. I don't much care for the platform but a friend pointed out it might be one of the best places to advertise local events online.

RTFM, the (an) RPG book club podcast, is back from hibernation. @snaxwell.bsky.social and I talk about This is Where the Stars Died by Scott Malthouse, "a non-linear narrative wargame." What does that mean? What's a war game? Am I supposed to be painting small men?

You know I've thought about it and I don't think you ever need to take bad faith readers into account when you design games. "What if someone plays this with an awful table and abuses these rules?" not my problem. Make better friends. Cultivate a better hobby. Shun those assholes from society.
