Happy Presidents’ Day!

The United States was built on the promise that power belongs to the people, not kings.

Today, we honor the presidents who upheld that promise and helped move our nation forward.

California will not turn its back on women’s health.

While the Trump Administration cuts Planned Parenthood funding, California is stepping up with $90 million in emergency funding to protect reproductive care.

TY @governor.ca.gov and #CAleg for making this incredibly significant commitment.
California won't stand idly by while Trump and his lapdog Republicans use their "Big, Beautiful Bill" to virtually eliminate all federal Planned Parenthood funding.

I just signed legislation delivering $90 million to reproductive health care providers across our state.

Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Show reminded us of something we all need right now:

‘The only thing more powerful than hate is love.’

In a time of division, this is the American belief we must live every day.

“We know there is a lot of misinformation out there about our state,” Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis said. “But what we know is that there is a reason why we have two back-to-back Super Bowls…” 🧵

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! 🏈

California is proud to host #SuperBowlLX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, welcoming more than 90,000 fans from around the world to the Bay Area.

From innovation to entertainment, this is how we do sports on the global stage!

Earlier today, I attended the 39th Annual Leigh Steinberg Super Bowl Party whose mission is to spotlight brain health awareness and player safety in contact sports like football.

It was beautiful to see San Francisco come alive with electric energy in anticipation of #SuperBowlLX!

There is no better place to be than in the city of San Francisco — home of amazing sports, culture, community, and food.

#SuperBowlLX made the best decision to come to the Bay Area!
As the eyes of the nation descend on San Francisco for #SuperBowlLX, it has been refreshing to see many learn what we have always known: the Bay Area is bold, beautiful and full of heart.

From our neighborhoods to our people, the San Francisco Bay Area is truly Heaven on Earth.

On this day, we honor the legacy of American civil rights activist Rosa Parks.

Her dedication to fighting for civil rights and equality is an inspiration to all of us across the country.

Let us practice that same bravery and continue her fight against racial injustices. #RosaParksDay

California continues to lead in locally-driven, state-supported economic development.

Proud to celebrate Orange County's Jobs First regional plan, which aims to advance life sciences, high-tech, manufacturing, and tourism in the region.

Congratulations to Bad Bunny on winning Grammy Album of the Year, the first artist with a Spanish-language album to ever receive this award.

At a time when some want to narrow whose voices count, this win proves talent & culture know no borders. California is proud and ready for Super Bowl LX!

Today marks the start of Black History Month.

This month, we honor & celebrate the accomplishments, leadership, and lasting impact of Black Americans here in CA & across the nation – like Claudette Colvin, a civil rights figure who inspired the Montgomery Bus Boycott & recently passed away.

My vision for America’s next 250 years is to lessen our reliance on fossil fuel energy and to make further investments into our transition to clean energy.

Our climate crisis is currently happening and our future depends on us to act NOW.

I agree 1,000% with the action @governor.ca.gov Newsom has taken in response to the outrageous actions of Dr. Oz, who clearly seeks to disparage & stigmatize an entire community, the vast majority of whom are proud, law-abiding American citizens.

Oz should be ashamed, but sadly, he probably isn’t.

California’s universities like our @uofcalifornia.bsky.social campuses are a cornerstone of America’s global competitiveness.

Defunding higher education and research doesn’t hurt California. It weakens the entire country.

“The bottom line is simple. California will use every legal tool available to protect its coastline.”

Californians across party lines oppose new offshore drilling. We’ll continue to defend our coast, uphold state law & push for a clean, resilient energy future.

California’s working landscapes are economic powerhouses.

A new UC ANR report shows agriculture, natural resources & clean energy generate $404B in annual sales and support nearly 1.5M jobs statewide.

This is what economic strength & climate leadership look like.

On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we mark 81 years since the liberation of Auschwitz.

We remember the 6 millions Jews & the millions of Slavic, Roma, disabled, & LGBTQ+ people who were murdered, & we recommit to fighting antisemitism & every form of hate.

Never again means never again.

53 years ago, a Supreme Court decision protected reproductive freedom and ensured everyone access to safe healthcare.

Although Roe v. Wade has been overturned, our belief remains the same. Everyone should have the right and the autonomy to make decisions about their body.

The fight will continue.

While the Trump administration backtracks on clean energy, California is moving forward.
