Support local artists this Christmas 🎄
A cost-of-living crisis isn't the easiest time to sell art, but: www.ciaraioch.com is where you can support my work, with each archival-quality print on textured heavy paper being produced here in Ireland, shipping internationally in eco-friendly packaging, with free mini-treats in every order 🎁

Just a heads up with all the Christmas markets and fairs on at the moment - if you see art or art-based pieces for sale, ask who the artist is, because the amount of people deceptively slapping "made locally" on pieces locally farted out by their computer and a genAI prompt is getting depressing

Four-year delay to major upgrade of Dart network 'flies in the face' of best practice
It was hoped construction could begin on Dart+ South West next year – that’s now been pushed out to at least 2030.

We won't always make popular decisions but at the very least we could make fair decisions.

Fine Gael & Fianna Fáil would prefer to angrily shut down debate, rather than hear criticism of their rent hikes on the least well off while giving the maximum tax cut to homeowners.

From Metro to Dart+ South West to the Luas, this week has shown clearly how this Government is hell bent on sabotaging itself when it comes to providing sustainable Public Transport infrastructure for Ireland instead opting for more roads.

The government's failure to progress DART South west is infuriating. It condemns tens of thousands of people to spending hours every day sitting in traffic.

That’s quite an own goal by Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien delaying the Finglas Luas by two years, and stalling on DART+ South West till 2030, on World Sustainable Transport Day, no less. Who needs Judicial Reviews when Fianna Fáil’s running the show?

Given that the BBC endlessly gives platforms to lobbyists from the dark money junktanks without revealing their interests, shouldn't we be seeing such apologies every day?

Better still, how about not doing it? If they want to appear, we should know on whose behalf they are speaking.

The Metro is yet again delayed. Public transport is vital to tackling the ongoing Climate Crisis and our Housing Crisis.

The Greens were the only party to make any serious headway on the project when we were in Gov. We must continue to push to ensure we have a sustainable public transport system!

The only chart that matters when it comes to housing —

Between 2019 and Q2 2025, planning permission for 329,637 units granted, but only 213,790 started.

There’s no issue with zoning, no issue with planning. They are just not being built — except 2024, then the new government crashed that.
