みんな大好き菱田春草の《黒き猫》が、修理を終えて帰ってきました。
猫のフワフワ感もさることながら、個人的には柏の葉の煌めきが一層眩く感じられ、見惚れてしまいました。

大倉集古館で評判の良かったインド更紗の展覧会（別企画）に行けなかったので気になってました。世界屈指のインド更紗コレクターのコレクションということで、インド更紗の歴史と技術、世界への広がりを丁寧な解説とともに観ることができます。インド更紗の文様に込められた意味、それが流行や輸出先に合わせ変化し、ヨーロッパで大流行しヨーロッパ人好みの柄になる。その変遷が興味深い。数百年経てもなお美しい色彩、気が遠くなるような手作業に驚く。

最後にウィリアム・モリスの「イチゴ泥棒」があって、ここに辿り着くのかと納得。

Orphniospora moriopsis on gneissose granite, Strath Vaich. I think this thing is pretty underrecorded on account of it being a fairly mysterious black crust, but when it's mature it develops a distinct orange pruina which can help to tell it apart from other things

An interesting collection of lichen on the side of a tree trunk. The lower half is dominated by a crusty white-rimmed collection of irregular discs with rusty orange centers. A swath of bright yellow, amoeba-like sunburst lichen with some of its alien-like discs stretches across the top of the bark.
