Gartenrotschwanz-Weibchen, das auf einem schon etwas bemoosten Holunderast wie auf einem Schwebebalken von rechts nach links hüpft. Zwei der rechten vorderen Zehenkrallen berühren gerade noch so den Ast; der Schnabel ist leicht geöffnet, was zu der etwas angehobenen linken Schwinge zu passen scheint. Links im Bild: frisches Holunderlaub; im Hintergrund: das unscharfe Lichterspiel eines sonnigen Tags im Garten-Dschungel. Der Vogel selbst ist im schattigen Reich des Holunderbaums unterwegs.

Tommy Whittle was a British saxophonist whose career spanned 6 decades. He played with UK’s finest, and with Stan Kenton and Gerry Mulligan. Whittle, awarded for his lifetime achievement in British jazz, passed away #OTD in 2013.

In meiner Kindheit leuchteten die Autos in verschiedenen Farben und die Häuser waren mehr oder weniger grau - heute ist das umgekehrt. Finde mich langsam nicht mehr zurecht.

Beim Restmüllhof von der Papierpresse zurück zum Auto gegangen, Kofferraum zugehauen, Beifahrertür geöffnet, "Eigentlich noch ganz schick, unser alter Rostwagen" gedacht. Hinter mir heftiges Klopfen: meine Frau sitzt im Nachbarwagen am Steuer.
Autos sehen heutzutage alle irgendwie gleich aus.
