First ever fungi foray in Jubilee Wood. Fascinating and humbling in equal measure. God I love nature.

Nice shot. Shame about the cattle spoiling the view and the ecology.

Congratulations Steve. That’s some accolade. Well deserved I’m sure.

Blown away by this series. Can’t believe how brilliant it is, how much I’ve cried and laughed. This is what I pay my licence fee for. Sublime. Thank you bbc ❤️

Takeaways after fab 2 days hosting at Everything Electric:

- vehicle-to-grid charging might FINALLY be here

- sodium-ion batteries are advancing quickly and could be made in the UK with local materials, reducing reliance on China for lithium.

- People want this. This was our biggest UK show yet🎉

The start of a dialogue with Brittany Ferries' leadership is a positive first step. Until now, all of our letters and protests had been met with silence.

Thank you to everyone who has spoken out and called for change. Together, we will keep up the pressure to end live exports! #BanLiveExports

Well done and thank you Mr Mayor. Much more to do though. Impose fines on SUVs and diesels off the streets. After burying my fit-as-a-butcher’s dog friend who died of lung cancer, never smoked but worked all his life in London, wonder if he would still be alive had London’s air been cleaner, sooner?

184 years earlier than predicted, London has met the legal limits for toxic NO2 for the first time.

This historic milestone proves that bold action like expanding ULEZ works, protecting children’s health and giving millions cleaner air to breathe.
London Ulez reduced nitrogen dioxide to legal limit, mayor says
The mayor of London says the fall in airborne toxins is due to the Ultra low emission zone expansion.

@nationalrail.bsky.social The station info for Bilbrook isn’t accurate. At the top of the ramp for Wolverhampton bound trains is a bicycle ramp installed by the parish council. At least 3 bikes can be secured there.

Thanks Pádraic. I’ll have to take your word for it. Unfortunately I can’t read the article it’s behind a paywall.

@whittledaway.bsky.social Been touring Ireland for the past 2 weeks for first time in ROI. Currently in Co Mayo. Became v depressed driving past all the degraded bogs. Visited the NPWS centre at Ballycroy and felt better. Thought I’d ask you the font of all knowledge - are they doing a good job?

Despite 71% of people supporting a snare ban in the UK, the government has taken no action - showing a disregard for the views of the majority.

Forest to bog restoration takes time.

The first confirmed breeding of Dunlin after restoration occurred in year five.
Golden Plover took at least eight years to recolonise the area.
Peatland carbon dynamics unfold over millennia.

Trust the process! ⏳️

Return of the Dunlin to Forsinard!
1. Remove lines of non-native pines
2. Fill in the furrows and smooth out the ridges 👇
3. Wait, as peat slowly forms in the wet surface
4. CO2 gets captured in peat
5. Dunlin and Golden Plover breed again

If BBC local news gave even a fraction of the attention it gives to nimbyism to the dual climate and biodiversity crises, it's just possible there'd be less nimbyism.
Hundreds sign petition against Cornwall solar farm plans
Residents say the plan, equivalent to 69 football pitches, is inappropriate for the Lanreath area.

Hope you’re not going to use Chiltern Railways to get between locations. Facilities for bicycles is crap and good luck if you want to sit down anywhere near your bicycle.
