Horrendous scenes this week as a chicken lorry catches fire & yet this article doesn't mention the welfare of the birds.💔

Over the last few weeks, we've been attending multiple party conferences to call on policymakers to improve the lives of farmed animals - this week, it was the Conservative Conference.

We want to see action to phase out factory farming, including legislation to #EndTheCageAge.

Compassion calls on politicians to champion farm animal welfare.

The @europarl.europa.eu just voted to ban everyday words like "burger" & "sausage" for plant-based foods. This will only confuse consumers and slow the protein transition.

PROGRESS! This is a positive step that will help improve the welfare of millions of fish farmed in Scotland every year.

So far there have been no detailed legal protections for the welfare of farmed fish in the UK.

This guidance must be turned into legislation to give fish full legal protection.

Progress: the Scottish Government will introduce official guidance for farmed fish.

We are extremely saddened to hear of the passing of our Patron and Visionary, Dame Jilly Cooper.

Jilly was strongly opposed to factory farming and the live animal export trade and often attended Compassion’s campaign events to end these animal abuses.

She will be sorely missed by us all.
