One of the reasons I think it’s so important to continue telling queer stories in writing and art is because we lost almost an entire generation of queer people to the AIDS crisis. There’s some people I’m missing extra today, and I am trying to honor them in small and big ways when I can.

Guy Ingellvar is interested in magic, but he’s had negative experiences with mages. As a rogue, he was sent on many missions within vast corners of the Necropolis. He specializes in lock picking, ancient puzzles, and dual daggers. Despite his skills, mages always took the lead on expeditions.

Acrylic ink stays wet for a bit so even with the pointillism, I have to work in layers to reduce bleeding. Still, I kinda like when it bleeds a bit and usually leave it if I get a drip or two.

We all know the scene in which The Iron Bull tells Krem about the Aqun-Athlok, "people born as one gender but living as another." He does so to affirm his gender and it's a great moment. But what he doesn't explain is how gender and the Aqun-Athlok are in Qunari society. 🧵

Iron Bull: If a Qunari woman really wants to fight and has a gift for it, she becomes an Aqun-Athlok. The Aqun-Athlok joins the warriors and is treated like a male. He becomes a guy, for all intents and purposes. Cassandra: But she wouldn't physically become male, surely. Iron Bull: Doesn't matter. In the Qun, your role is everything.
