Yessssss!
"This promise of an AI future, is really just a collective anxiety that wealthy people have about how well they're gonna be able to control us in the future."

Incredible words.

NEW: @unrigoureconomy.bsky.social is tracking rising grocery prices at dontinflateourplates.com

You can literally watch the cost of pork, corn, and steak go up for the holiday season.

But don't worry, I'm sure those tax breaks for corporations and billionaires will trickle down any day now.
As families plan their holiday meals, we’re tracking the cost of what’s on the table. Our grocery price tracker is updated, now including pork, corn, & steak.

Republicans in Congress keep claiming prices are falling.
Our bills say otherwise.

We’ve got the receipts.

Trans people existed before this administration and they will exist after. State AGS better stand the fuck up and the @democrats.org better get their house in order because we’re protecting trans kids at all costs. If you aren’t, then get the fuck out of public office.

Mass. would lose billions under proposal to cut state income tax, and Democrats are chafing - The Boston Globe
A ballot proposal could slash from $4.2 billion to $4.8 billion from the state’s coffers annually if it is fully implemented, state officials told lawmakers.

Such a beautiful thread. Happy Hanukkah, may light shine brightly during these dark nights.
Part of the Chanukah tradition is to place the light menorah either outside or in a window where outsiders can see it. This is supposed to advertise the miracle of Chanukah. These days, it is also a way of saying, “This is a Jewish home.”

Every year I think about how it is also an act of bravery.

Last night I got to witness a truly magical moment with my 7 year old: after reading a few chapters to him aloud, he asked if he could keep reading on his own before lights out. It was the first time I saw that spark of joy you get from not wanting to put down a good book.
A perfect storm of technology, cultural conditions and educational choices seem to be producing a generation of kids who are not readers. Read to the end (like our kids should be doing!) for some slivers of hope. Gift link: www.nytimes.com/2025/12/12/u...

It’s wild to see the Legislature’s incompetence & their pattern of inaction affect not only everyday people of MA but one of the most powerful and effective mayors in the country.
Filed with the City Council in Apr 2024. Had hearings, town halls, briefings, votes by Council & House—& then he blocked it in the Senate last Dec. Council passed it again in Feb 2025 & we’re still waiting for a vote.

I don’t have the power to stop State Senators from doing their job, only they do!
Imagine the audacity of Mayor Wu asking the least productive legislature in the country to do some work when they’re already 2 weeks into their 6 week holiday break?

Perfect example of why taxing billionaires is better policy than pet-project charity from wealthy assholes whose donations always come with strings attached ⬇️
So $250 for 25M Trump child accounts — but only in the “right” ZIP codes & only for kids who won’t get the $1K fed seed.
A perfect example of how billionaire charity replaces actual policy. Geography + whimsy ≠ need. Wild idea: tax the rich & fund universal programs instead?

Also maybe if the legislature listened to their constituents and used their blue trifecta to enact bold progressive policies, we wouldn’t need ballot initiatives 🤷🏻‍♀️
It shows how out of touch House Speaker Ron Mariano is that he acts like 1994 was just a few years ago.
