Looks like it's Azure that is having some problems today.

Guess I really didn't need to do all that work today after all.
I really can't stress enough to everyone I talk to how authoritative this is.

I really hope Alberta labour can come together and make things extremely uncomfortable for the UCP government.

This ongoing abuse of the NWC to strip individuals rights needs to be cut quick. #cdnpoli
An important note…

Smith isn’t just overriding the federal Charter…

She’s also overriding the Alberta Human Rights Act AND the Alberta Bill of Rights she just rewrote.

since this game began two more conservative MLAs have left their caucus
Pretty sure some of my coworkers in Toronto are absolutely going to be zombies tomorrow though.
With the bonus baseball tonight this might the most active I’ve seen my feed after 10pm pacific.
I did all of these before I transitioned too, is this the reason why I'm trans 😅
My dreams are more continuous and cohesive than this.
Oh my god some fucking tech dingdong posted this on Twitter with the caption "AI games are going to be amazing" totally seriously, you have to watch it. You have to. In full screen.
I’m just really happy the leaks continue, Rustad must be absolutely livid this internal party letters continue to make their way to the public.
So Rustad has been asked to resign by members of the management committee.

The political circus continues.

@rob-for-ndp-leader.bsky.social I know you're being pragmatic with the NP, but the costal tanker ban has a legitimate need for existence. I'm not sure we can adequately reduce the risk to and make it acceptable.

I'm getting a kick out of the Conservatives trying to back peddle on Poilievre's new ACAB position.
Ordered my Vancouver jersey this morning. No away jerseys though?
Coming to the ice soon 😎

@pwhl--seattle.bsky.social and @pwhl--vancouver.bsky.social's inaugural season jerseys are here!

I have to say as a Canadian, Oregon outside of Portland is something else.

My dad spent some time working in Durkee in the late 90s and the tales I heard.
Fun legal fact of the day: Florence, OR, where federal agents famously (and illegally) used a thermal imager to detect Danny Kyllo's grow operation in 1992, is the the same oceanfront community that, in 1970, famously (and disastrously) tried to dispose of a beached whale carcass using dynamite.
Crazy how it's always conservative governments that love to remove an individual's charter rights.
I see the daily mail is continuing to live up to its journalistic integrity standards.
The Cowichan Tribes debate is quickly becoming an international culture war issue, which means any attempt by someone to try and clarify facts, timelines or arguments by the people materially involved in the actual discussion will not matter in slightest.

But literally none of this is correct.
Still probably too much power allocated for AI compared to DCs.

But that second point is exactly what I was hoping for.
BC is also making its ban on power for crypto mining permanent and restricting access for AI and data centres

Projects can apply for a limited amount of power every 2 years, starting in Jan 2026

300 megawatts for AI centres, 100MW for data centres

#bcpoli
Can’t wait to see the manufactured conservative outrage over this bill.

I will say that hopefully the data centre restrictions have a carve out for Canadian businesses, I would love to see more data centres owned and operated by fully Canadian companies.
Some good leadership from the BC NDP. We don’t need to be providing power to AI that don’t help create jobs here.
Energy Minister Adrian Dix introduces Bill 31, Energy Statutes Amendment Act

The plan is to create an electricity allocation framework to prioritize power for natural resource projects like LNG and mines. It will also set rules for AI and data centres seeking to connect to BC's grid

#bcpoli
Agreed! Also, that's a way better kit than I have. Mine are just floating in a drawer in my toolbox.
Totally unsurprising. Are her and Sturko joining forces, maybe along with Warbus?

NEW - Penticton-Summerland MLA Amelia Boultbee has quit the BC Conservative caucus. Boultbee says John Rustad is running the party into the ground and needs to resign. #bcpoli
Don't leave me hanging, I need the details ... 😂
This is why I was of the opinion the RCMP needs to get out of contract policing in the provinces and refocus as proper federal police for and be more analogous to the FBI.

There are obviously some major challenges with this but my home town of Surrey finally moving from the RCMP was a good start.
There was also attempts to hire Civilian Criminal Investigators (CCI's), essentially non-police staff who have peace officer status and can do investigative work. I don't have confirmation but pretty sure similar challenges by the NPF have hampered this.
