Oh, I loved that hat 😍 - I’m glad it’s going to someone who also does! My first was a gift, too, and I’ve been looking forward to knitting my own.

I did; the leg is oversized (prob could have gone down 1 ndl size), but is fine for boot/ cozy socks. But I fear the heel is too much. I think a re-do of the heel and I would make a few different choices the next time.

I’m going to do the ribbing with the mohair to overcome the high cotton content of the yarn (part of the early drama).

She’s in time out while I think 🤔. Was worried about colourwork & short row heel fit so chose larger option at every step (72 st, larger needles, 60% st heel); any one of these mitigations might have been enough. Long story short: I’m afraid I’ve made huge sock w/even huge-er heel 😒 #Socktober 🧶🧦

Haven’t forgotten about this lovely lady…after much early drama, I do think she’ll be a lovely jumper & I think I’ll do cuffs and hem in the same long 1x1 rib w/mohair. At the maths part now 🤓, to figure out how long I can make sleeves and body with the remaining 4 x 50g balls of yarn. #knitting 🧶

Daughter came by Friday night 🥰. I washed all her hand knit socks in exchange for a large pot of veggie lentil soup 😋; fair trade. They still photograph well, but these socks are *used*…which is how I like it! #Socktober 🧶🧦

Mr Brazil starts us off inoffensively enough with a fairly boring suit but my goodness he's selling it with that walk. He does get a bonus point for the suit clearly fitting though, because as you will see that is not always a given...

Yarn is Milburn 4-ply from @edencottageyarns.bsky.social. It’s delicious BFL/silk that’s woolly & lustrous 😍. In Charcoal & Black Tulip; someone comments on the purple every time I post it 💜🖤!
