Arcadia is my favorite by Stoppard, this cheered me up immensely.
I hope someone draws this wonderful story about Tom Stoppard's Arcadia and the power of the arts to help us see things differently, to the attention of our Education Secretary. Do read it, it will lift your spirits.

LUCKA 1.

Around 70% of the U.S. economy depends on consumer spending. As wealth concentrates in the richest 10%, the rest of America can’t afford to buy enough to keep the economy running.

This is a huge problem — and even America’s most powerful CEOs are starting to sound the alarm.

Found another vintage 1940-50s (guessing) nurse's winter coat in wool (burn test) and rayon (burn, acetone). It doesn't fit me, but would if I either install a zipper or change to single button. Now, would it be ethical of me to hack it? I mean, the museums already have a bunch of them, right?

Gaza is exceptional in how consistently the bar against journalists has been applied, but there are certainly other groups that are barring, threatening and killing journalists:
Russia (Russia-Ukraine)
Taliban
Myanmar
RSF (Sudan)

Just watched Bigelow's A House of Dynamite on Netflix. Excellent and wellacted, like a well put together clockwork of interconnected scenes, and stressful, as in people who take decisions have way too little data (decision support researcher stressful 😂).

Recommend warmly.
