This is your seasonal reminder that Bookshop.org and libro.fm exist as local-supporting not-Amazon options for all your physical and audiobook needs! Bookshop even gives you the option to add a card and a pretty fabric bag and ship it directly to your giftee!

Walgreens is actually sending out notifications that they will do the Hep B vaccine, no questions asked now. My NP is antivax, so I think I'm just going to go get a booster and not tell anyone.
Actual individualized health care:

"You have celiac, so we need to either check your titers for antigens to Hep B or give you another dose of vaccine just in case."

Rather than assuming immunity where none exists.

(Celiac causes a higher rate of HBV vaccine failure. So I got my titers checked.)

Contemplating putting, "gearhead," in my profile. I got the second Prius in Texas to about 308,000 miles, fifteen years after it was built in Japan. I love this car.

A question for those of you who are independent booksellers: if I post Bookshop.org links, on your questions about what everyone is reading, is that helpful or not?

It occurs to me that it may not help your independent bookstore, just independent bookstores generally.

I'm putting this in my library ebook reservation queue, because every librarian I know that's read it has recommended it. #libraries
Dec 7th: Matt Dinniman's madcap adventure Dungeon Crawler Carl finally made it to the UK in hardback this year.

A real cult fave that's getting rave reviews: think #D&D meets Hunger Games, with aliens, apocalypse, & an excellent cat called Princess Donut. Well-written and really entertaining!

Thoughts on the #glutenfree diet if your A1C is high but you have #celiac:

lower GI is easier and cheaper than keto.

buckwheat (bread, crackers) GI 35
sweet potato noodles GI 45
lentil pasta GI 30
