Know what, let's do a thread of what I've out and accessible in 2024. Twisted emperors, human-birthing caves, and dystopias of photosynthetic humans lie in wait

Therapists are not prepared for the publishing world. I've heard this often. Mine was surprisingly positive despite everything 😆

A birdie told me it's National Dark Poetry day, so here's one to celebrate, about a boy whose touch inflates things. Even flesh. 💀

A break from social media was refreshing. Productive weeks, completed a new novella at 40k words (pending edits) and I had two lovely acceptances in the meantime. More to follow. 🖤

reading/contemplating stoic philosophy generally helps me, connecting with community, indulging in fulfilling hobbies, detachment from social media besides the necessary minimum as an author

Listening to the soundtrack has become vital to my process too it has changed me Lark

Dude get off social media and go play Clair Obscur what are you doing the world could end tomorrow and you would have missed out
linardos.bsky.social
I should be taking breaks when I play intense difficulty games but Clair Obscur (at Expert) proved to me I don't have the necessary restraint when something is that good. I sort of always left with a headache after 3-4 hours straight gameplay

I appreciate that the arrow of "stories short" frames half the image, meets with the upper right "short stories," but diverges to two arrows again just before the end. There's a hero's journey there, and the twist of the two arrows diverging again is inevitable. Masterful arrow work.
