A reporter asked Donald Trump if he thinks he’s going to heaven:
“I don’t think there’s anything that’s gonna get me into heaven. I think I’m not maybe heaven-bound. […] I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to make heaven.”
the actual story here, which the media never talks about, is that police in this country have become a discrete right-wing political operation. the story isn't about cops leaving (they're lying about that), it's about the police trying to exert influence over elections.
I genuinely believe the US is beyond saving. Just the idea that we will develop anything approaching class-consciousness is laughable. I know it’s bleak, but I really do think that's where we're at currently.
I don’t think liberals understand what “fighting for democracy” means in Venezuela. They just automatically assume it means liberalism as they see it in the US
I also have a personal hatred of her because she was my rep when I lived in Irvine and she didn’t do shit when I wrote to her urging her to take any sort of action in regards to the housing crisis.
