Is culture vulture the same as anti-black? I know it’s non-productive for us as a community but I never saw his jumps from culture to culture as evidence of anti-blackness but more as a need to maintain relevance and longevity in his career.

Respectfully, you're giving a bad faith argument. Drake pandered no different than any other cultural appropriator. And just like them, when all was said and done, nobody could actually list out the things Drake did for black culture outside of sending a couple kids to college for a music video.

He did show a lot of love in the beginning but something changed. It seemed he did it to gain love then switched up when he had enough support. The way he jumped to speak against Meg after she was shot, and other unnecessary comments against Rihanna and Serena Williams

Exactly what I have been saying Kendrick/Black men do not care about victims of abuse. He just wanted Drake cancelled and knew cuz that shit went viral a few years back ppl would believe it. If Drake was actually abusing kids why would you sit on that type of information allowing it to continue.

I think Drake is being cancelled more on the basis of anti-blackness than abuse/pedophilia tho. I think we’re lacking evidence about the abuse aspects so that’s why people aren’t really giving either of them the business on that front.
We can say it’s not as well known because Drake said Kendrick beat his wife in the song the same way Kendrick called him a pedophile. If we are canceling on the basis of being an abuser let’s cancel both of them.

I agree and said it was inappropriate but I don’t think it warrants being called a pedophile and cancelled to this extent especially when we are celebrating Kendrick who has his allegations as well, and bumping Boston Richie who was actually sleeping with his girlfriend while she was under age
Idk about sleeping with kids but I do think weird behavior should be called out before anything escalates. Texting or taking underage girls on dates is not appropriate. We should be holding anyone accountable for beating women including Kendrick. Maybe that’s not as well known or supported tho?

Got back home last night. Still feels weird to think I was having breakfast in Amsterdam, a late lunch in Brussels, then coming home to West London and my husband making us both dinner. Love how rail travel and the Eurostar makes this all possible though.
