Sad news - Matt was a true pillar of the writing community, working tirelessly in his advocacy for both the horror community and for his fellow demisexuals and others on the ace spectrum.
He will be missed.

I'm very sad to share the news that our lovely @chaoticauthor.online has passed away. His ending was peaceful and surrounded with love but came far too quickly after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
I've known Matt for years. He was a warm, gentle, generous, all-weather friend. I miss him.

You can't set a limit on who writes what. But you can remind folks that the real world oppression and exclusion of LGBTQ+ folks is ongoing, so supporting queer authors is likely far more helpful at ground level than focusing on books that feature one MM kiss written by a straight guy.

Three weeks ago I marked nine years on Testosterone.
I didn't celebrate it then because I was in the middle of a multi-month battle to be allowed to stay on it, despite not producing my own hormones and simply wanting to remain on the exact prescription I'd had for nine years without any problems.
