so i made a small list with my main theories for bts' comeback and i wanted to share them here so anyone can brainstorm in this post if wanted hehe. these are just thoughts from things they've said and my interpretation, but it's fun to think about it !!

theories for bangtan's new album

1. they talk about going back home - feelings related to being taken away from their home (maybe literal, maybe figurative while refering to the stage/each other/army), wanting to go back to that home and more of their feelings during military service. this comes from both namjoon and taehyung using the "i wanna go home" caption, one after the other, on their insta and weverse live. i don't think it's a coincidence.

2. the pressure of being who they are, being the ones on the top - "heavy is the crown" "do you wanna be king" this comes from joon's live and i feel it's gonna be one of the themes. he also said that with a bit of an intonation, which makes me think they might be actual verses from a song

3. hyyh throwback by talking about the passing of youth and the uncertainty of adulthood, based on jimin's words from his live in paris about it being difficult to be an adult and a good one at that. i feel like this has come up in their conversations with each other and might in turn become a significant theme.

4. i dont think it's gonna be a pop album but rather more similar to their earlier sounds or maybe a bit more on the experimental side and it's for two reasons: first becuase they said they're going 'back to basics' back in july and second because while they're excited about this album being personal to them they keep mentioning the uncertainty in how it's gonna be received by army, which makes me think it differs from their later more pop sound. i'm not saying there's not gonna be pop songs, but i dont think it's gonna be the dominating sound

Something I really appreciate about Jimin and his lives is that he speaks so clearly and directly that I can understand a lot of what he’s saying even with my relatively weak grasp of Korean. I don’t have the vocabulary to get it all but he really makes the sweet effort for us baby learners
